Almaw Wolie Ambe is a founder and Principal Partner of 5A Law Firm LLP, with 28 years of distinguished service in Ethiopia's judiciary, including over 11 years as Presiding Judge of the Federal Supreme Court Cassation Division.

At the apex of Ethiopian judiciary, Almaw presided over panels of five or more judges deciding precedent-setting cases on commercial, constitutional, and public law matters. His expertise in constitutional and public law, evidenced by his LL.M from Addis Ababa University, makes him invaluable for PPP transactions, infrastructure projects, and matters requiring constitutional analysis.

Almaw leads the firm's PPP and natural resources practice, coordinating multi-agency approvals and guiding sponsors through complex permitting processes. He has streamlined land corridor and environmental workflows and developed proprietary permit packs and regulator-specific checklists now used across the firm.

Almaw is the author of a forthcoming book on Ethiopian Construction Law and has prepared extensive training materials for justice professionals across Ethiopia.
